The second quarter brought solid defensive action by Olivia Marchesi and Isabel Carter. After many several outstanding saves by goalie, Megan Healy, Salem was able to sneak in their first goal. Emma Clickman brought the ball up the field many times only to be blocked by Salem’s defense.

In the third quarter, quick footwork by Lilyana Tellez and Addison Hopkins brought Dover back into scoring position but Salem’s defense kept the ball away from the goal. Dover’s Sarah Bastille was tested in the goal with multiple saves protecting Dover’s chances at a comeback. In the final seconds of the quarter Salem scored again.

In the fourth quarter, Dover rallied hoping for a strong comeback finish. Tory Vitko brought the ball to the Salem goal several times only to be blocked by their strong defense. In the end, after several saves by goalie Morgan Wigmore, Salem scored its final goal.
