escaping the biggest snowstorm of the year for the wonders of disney world

Our plane was stuck at the gate, with us in it, waiting for Logan Airport crews to “de-ice” the plane.  It had started to snow (again), was bitter cold, and all we wanted to do was take off for Orlando ASAP before getting trapped.

An hour and a half later, they did their thing, transforming our icy Southwest bird into a warm bird.  It was time to fly.

Three days later we heard the stories.  New England was socked with 30  inches of snow, nailed in one of the biggest storms of all time.  Our friends and family back home were posting Facebook photos and stories, lamenting the agony of shoveling driveways and dealing with the hassle of too much white stuff.

While it wasn’t warm in Orlando (40 in the morning, mid 60’s during the day), but it was at least 40-50 degrees more balmy than home as we toured the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and the Animal Kingdom.  We had a b-l-a-s-t as  the following photos reveal:

Little moments you would have forgotten... and bigger moments that would have grown more vague over time. Now you'll have stories that make the past come alive. Stories that give you insight into who you were, what you were like and what things made you happy, sad and proud. Stories that also remind you about our special relationship, what we did together and all the fun we had.
