Wow, Emma….  you read the entire book Green Eggs and Ham to Grammy tonight while we stayed with you at your house.

Once in awhile you hesitated and Grammy helped you, but for 90% of the story, you knew the words and read them very well indeed.  You sat on her lap and didn’t give up until you had finished the last word.

I hadn’t heard you tackle an entire book like that… it was a thrill, and I was so proud.

My favorite part (besides hearing you read so well) was what you said to Grammy before you started.

“Grammy I want to read you Green Eggs and Ham tonight because it’s your favorite book.”

It was a very special moment for her, one I’m sure she’ll never forget.
